The resort area around Lake Quinsigamond is an increasingly popular boating area. The Worcester & Shrewsbury Railroad has built a small scale railroad to transport people to the recreational facilities. Visitors can dress for the day and ride the 3 foot rails, nicknamed the "dummy railroad", down to the lake. Once there, they can ride on small steam boats or choose to rent many smaller boats.
